Thank you for using BOOL and other products and services offered by Scope Research and Consulting. All users of our products and services are highly valued both paid and unpaid. Our free products demonstrate a commitment to spreading Boolean literacy, enhancing search productivity and embracing the power of crowd sourcing.
Term of Agreement. This user agreement starts when you sign up for a BOOL account and download and install the BOOL chrome extension and continues until all services granted in accordance with this agreement have expired or the BOOL chrome extension is deinstalled and the BOOL account is deleted.
Provision of Services. BOOL shall serve as a platform for users who will build and store Boolean strings.
Support Services. Scope Research and Consulting will offer users a combination of email and web support related to BOOL as needed and within the scope of what Scope Research and Consulting can afford.
BOOL. BOOL: (i) does requires limited user information users to create an account, thereby limiting exposure to confidential information; (ii) uses the local storage on your device to store boolean table data and cofiguration from your last session, once such permission is granted
Customer Responsibilities. The Customer is responsible for all activities that occur while using their BOOL account, including the installed version of BOOL.
We may add or remove functionalities or features on BOOL, and we may suspend or stop a Service altogether. You can stop using our Services at any time without penalty. Scope Research and Consulting may also stop providing Services to you, or add or create new limits to our Services at any time.
We provide our services using a commercially reasonable level of skill and care and make changes to the platform that seek to improve the productivity of members. Other than explicitly set out in these terms or additional terms, BOOL does not make any promises about the services. As an example, we do not make commitments about the content generated by our services, or their ability to meet your needs. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties.
When permitted by law, BOOL will not be responsible for lost profits, revenues, data, financial losses or indirect, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. In all cases, BOOL and its affiliates will not be liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable.
If you are using our Services on behalf of a business, that business accepts these terms. It will hold harmless and indemnify Scope Research and Consulting from any claim, suit or action arising from or related to the use of the Services or violation of these terms, including any liability or expense arising from claims, losses, damages, suits, judgments, litigation costs and attorney's fees.
BOOL collects your email address for sign up and stores sessional data to local storage. No information or access is shared with third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites displayed on the BOOL website. BOOL cannot verify the security or actions of any third-party site or service.
BOOL and Scope Research and Consulting strives to maintain a consistent level of data protection and security and remain fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) as of May 25, 2018. This compliance is reflected in the overall Privacy Policy wherein users whose personal information we process have been informed on the purpose of collection, how it is used, what their rights entail, to whom we may disclose information along with the safeguarding measures we adopt to protect their data.
BOOL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and you will be informed of such changes through a notice posted on our website. Your continued use of the platform after we make changes to this Privacy Policy is deemed acknowledgement of those changes, so please review this Privacy Policy periodically.
